Tacos Gone Crazy!

I’m craving winter already! The fine culinary team behind Haven Gastropub in Old Towne Orange just announced they’re debuting a new fast-casual concept, taco asylum at The CAMP in Costa Mesa sometime late 2010. I’ll keep you posted on exact date.

You might think, given the name taco asylum, that it’s a Mexican concept, but not so says Executive chef and partner, Greg Daniels: “Our menu, which will not be expansive in selection, will not be bound by borders or specific cuisine.”

Here’s what we can all look forward to: non-traditional tacos, showcasing global ingredients and meats ranging from pork belly and shortrib, to octopus and escolar. And to top it off, there will be incredible craft beer selection.

taco asylum will be open daily for lunch and dinner at The CAMP, between Native Foods and SEED People’s Market. 2937 S. Bristol St, B102 in Costa Mesa.
